....living better with hearing loss.

The Rochester Chapter of the Hearing Loss
Association of America shares the mission
of our National Organization. We work at the
local level "to open the world of communication
to people with hearing loss by providing
information, education, support and advocacy."

The Rochester Chapter use multiple resources to
educate ourselves, our families, friends, those in
the medical field, and others in the community on issues concerning the
impact hearing loss has on the lives of many. We share information through our award winning Newsletter, presentations to outside organizations and groups, personal interaction and through our website.

As a group and as individuals we advocate for communication access to locations and events in our community and beyond. We promote the use of assistive listening systems, we communicate with legislators, and often participate in appropriate studies and research which will further the understanding of hearing loss.

Our Rochester Chapter offers support in many ways by members who also deal with the challenges of daily living made more difficult when a person doesn’t hear well.
